Disputes
Civil litigation is a process for resolving legal disputes on civil matters through the courts.
Where there is a disagreement on matters such as boundary disputes, debt recovery or claims, anti social behaviour or landlord and tenant, litigation can be an expensive process which should be a last resort.
We try to take a sensible approach in finding a solution through negotiation or some other means such as mediation. Very often an agreed fee or a capped fee can be negotiated at the outset.
We give below an example of how a claim might proceed and the typical costs incurred at each stage of a fairly straight forward claim. It can be much more costly.
Unfortunately, the law can be complex and people even more complicated, that's why you need a good solicitor who can advise you each step of the process and re-evaluate the risk of continuing. After all, you can't get blood out of a stone - no matter how much you are in the right.
We are happy for you to ring to discuss matters with us first on 01208 871485.
